The Honor 8 is Huawei’s latest flagship Honor phone and it’s officially launched here in the UK, boasting a gorgeous, slender design and dual lens camera. Here’s all you need to know, including the Honor 8 specs, best features, UK price and release date.
Honor 8 specs
The Honor 8 UK specs are as follows:
5.2-inch LTPS screen
Full HD 1920×1080 pixel resolution
2.3GHz octa-core Kirin 950 processor
microSD memory card support
Dual 12-megapixel rear camera
8-megapixel front camera
Honor 8 best features
Like Samsung’s Galaxy S7, the Honor 8 boasts a sleek, sexy glass and metal design. The slender frame should be super tough too, thanks to Huawei’s 15-layer construction. And at just 5.2-inches, the latest Honor should also be more compact than most of its rivals and easy to handle.
On the back of the phone you’ll find a dual-lens 12-megapixel camera with laser autofocus, which immediately reminds us of the very cool camera built into the Huawei P9 (constructed in collaboration with optics expert Leica). Once again, one of the Honor 8’s lenses captures a vibrant colour image while the other snaps a monochrome photo. Working in combination, they should hopefully produce sharp, detailed shots, just like the P9 did.

On the back of the Honor 8 you’ll find a fingerprint sensor that can unlock the phone in just 400 milliseconds, according to Honor. That’s about as fast as the OnePlus 3, Note 7 and other great Androids from 2016.
The Honor 8’s Full HD screen should also please, with the option to tinker with colour richness and a Night Shift-style mode for reducing eye strain at night.
