How do you know if your Snapchat account info was leaked?

Following the Snapchat leak over Christmas, you can now find out if your details were leaked via a simple tool.

A recent cyber attack on Snapchat leaked 4.6 million usernames and phone numbers, and has left many Snapchat users worrying if their data was compromised. If you’re one of these people then fear not, for there are a couple of sites which you can use to help identify whether your information was leaked.

The first site, GS Lookup- Snapchat, requires you to enter only your username. You can then hit the ‘lookup’ button to see if you were affected., and if your details weren’t leaked, then you’ll see a “You’re Safe” message.

The second site, Snapcheck.org, asks you to enter either your username or your phone number, and after submitting your information, you’ll receive an alert telling you whether or not your details were in the leak.

If you’re one of the unlucky ones and your details were leaked, then it’s a good idea to change your password, or keep an eye out for any dodgy stuff that might be happening on your account. Apart from that, there isn’t really much else you can do, except pray.

Were your details leaked in the cyber attack? Let us know by posting in the comments below.
