Another potential HTC device that fits in with Peter Chou’s 6 to 8 is the HTC Bliss. The Bliss, which PocketNow is calling a “lady’s phone” (their quotations), looks to be headed to Verizon in the US, but there’s every chance we’ll see it on these shores, possibly under a different name.
If ask us, it looks like its been cut from the same cloth as the Wildfire S and Salsa, judging by these pics, so it could be another HTC mid-ranger aimed at the Christmas run-up.
Rumoured specs include an 800MHz processor and a newer version of HTC Sense, 3.5. No word on what features Sense 3.5 will bring, we’ve only just got used to Sense 3.0 on the Sensation and Evo 3D.
Apparently the Bliss’ main selling point comes in the form of accessories, making it sound like a like a less powerful, more style-conscious Motorola Atrix.
The accessories apparently include an alarm clock/charging dock with speakers, matching Bluetooth headsets and a charm bracelet-style indicator that flashes whenever you’ve got a message, missed call or email.
This is my next posted this pic of the charm device up back in May, saying that it’ll be physically attached to the phone instead of via Bluetooth. Though obviously an in-progress piece of concept art (or a Photoshop jobbie) we wonder if this would catch on. Phone charms? In 2011? We’re not so sure…
When we reached out to HTC it declined to comment on “rumour and speculation”.
HTC so far has given us the Touch, Desire, Sensation, Bliss… whatever next? HTC Caress? HTC Naked Snuggles Under The Duvet?
