HTC Eternity: New HTC Windows Phone 7 smartphone

HTC continue to pave the way in vague product naming, this time supposedly arrive at the HTC Eternity. According to HTC Inside, these pictures are of a second generation Windows Phone 7 device.

We’ve been told more Windows Phone 7 devices are set to arriving in the near future from HTC, and this looks to be a pretty convincing sneak-peak at the new smartphone.

Said to have a whopping 4.7-inch AMOLED screen, there’s a 1.5MHz processor, single-core, and an intriguing 8-megapixel camera on the back, with both autofocus and dual LED flash.

The ‘leaked’ specs suggest it’ll be able to record HD video at 720p, and this can be shared through DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) meaning video can be transported without the need for cable mess.

There’s also a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera, which will need that Mango update to allow videocalling.

German site HTC Inside seem to be pointing at an Autumn release; we talked to HTC UK, who told Recombu that they didn’t comment on rumour and speculation. Sad-face.
