HTC Evo 3D pulled by Vodafone

Vodafone has announed it will not be selling the HTC Evo 3D citing launch delays.

The phone was dropped from the phone giant’s Coming Soon page earlier today. According to Tech Radar, a spokesperson for Vodafone said “We’ve decided that due to delays to the launch of the device, we no longer plan to include the Evo 3D in our smartphone range.

‘We realise this will come as a disappointment to some people but we already offer some fantastic phones, like the HTC Sensation and Galaxy S2,with some really exciting handsets in the pipeline and we’ll continue to focus on bringing the latest and greatest smartphones to Vodafone customers.”

Anyone who has registered for updates will be contacted by Vodafone shortly.

It was announced earlier this year that the HTC Evo 3D would be coming in July, but recently it’s appeared on websits as landing in September. It’s still available for pre-order at Amazon and Play.com.

It’s certainly a blow to HTC fans who have been waiting for the 3D blower. With a 4.3-inch 960×540 screen, 1.2Ghz dual-core processor and of course dual cameras for capturing 3D movies, the HTC Evo 3D looked really interesting. We were certainly impressed when we had some hands-on time.

We contacted HTC, who said they don’t have a comment at the present time.
