A spokesperson for HTC has announced the Evo 3D will arrive sometime in September, here in the UK.
Available at Carphone Warehouse, no UK phone networks will be offering the phone on their subsidised tariffs when it launches. Vodafone were set to get the 3D-licious smartphone on release, but have pulled out following delays getting the phone to market.
It now looks set to arrive in the midst of a phone free-for-all, with the likes of the iPhone 5, Nokia’s N9, and a raft of new Windows Phone devices all predicted to arrive in the Autumn.
It will be HTC’s first 3D phone, with dual cameras and a glasses-free 3D display. Elsewhere there’s DLNA for streaming and HTC Watch for movie and TV downloads. You can capture 720p 3D movies, and up to five-megapixel 2D stills. HTC has made improvements to its own Sense software too, with a crafty screen-lock shortcut, improved shutter speed and stereo sound.
