Remember the HTC Legend? You know the one – Android, aluminium unibody… ringing any bells?
Well, it’s back and HTC has confirmed that it’s bringing Android 2.2 with it – that’s Froyo for those who prefer the sweeter sounding names. The company said on its Facebook fan page, “The update has been progressing quite well, and in the coming weeks those with unbranded Legends should be receiving the update.”
Although the HTC Desire has received the 2.2 rollout on most networks now, the HTC Legend has been left behind in the fray.
We may all be getting excited about the imminent release of 2.3 (Gingerbread) but 2.2 still packs a punch, with Flash 10.1 support, the ability to convert the handset into a Wi-Fi hotspot and to save apps to microSD rather than the handset’s internal memory – check out a full rundown of the new features here.
The update should be hitting your handsets over the air within the next couple of weeks, with unlocked handsets first in line.
