The HTC M8 is now expected to arrive late-March in New York City, although we’re not yet aware of a specific launch date.
If you’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of HTC’s new premium handset, then you won’t have to wait much longer: The much-anticipated sequel to last year’s HTC One, codenamed ‘HTC M8’, should be unveiled at the end of next month.
The handset has already been subject to leaks, and is expected to feature a larger 5-inch 1080p display, 16GB of storage, microSD slot for expandable storage, Android 4.4 KitKat, a bigger 2900mAh battery, and Sense 6. HTC also appears to have replaced the familiar capacitive buttons with on-screen buttons. One thing that hasn’t been settled is the name, however – M8 is obviously a working title, but will HTC settle with the ‘HTC One 2’?
We’ve also heard rumours that the camera may pack two sensors, which will allow you to refocus images after they have been shot. We’re expecting HTC to concentrate on the Ultrapixel camera yet again, and hopefully the company can wow us with some unique features such as last year’s awesome BoomSound (we’ll never tire of saying that. BoooooomSound!)
Like the sound of this? We’ll keep you posted about any more leaks.
