HTC has begun sending out launch invites for the 6-inch One Max

HTC’s One Max has popped up in leaks time and time again, and it looks like the company is finally ready to make the device official. Engadget has received invitations from HTC for two separate events – one in Hong Kong, and one in Taiwan. Both will be held during the same week, and both allude to the launch of the One Max.

The Taiwanese event is set for October 18th, with the invite teasing how “One finger opens up a big view”. It’s not a big leap to say that HTC is ready to show off a 6-inch handset with a fingerprint scanner given the invitation and the numerous leaks.

The Hong Kong event, meanwhile, will be held a few days earlier on October 16th. Recent rumours have also suggested that the official global launch date for the One Max is October 15th, but that hasn’t been confirmed just yet.

Specs for the One Max are said to include a 6-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB of RAM, the same UltraPixel camera found on the One and One Mini, and a fingerprint scanner. We’ll find out for sure next week.
