HTC Runnymede official picture revealed

The first press shot has emerged of the HTC Runnymede, a big-screen Android Gingerbread mobile phone.

We heard rumours about the HTC Runnymede recently. Specifications are scant at the moment, but the phone has a huge 4.7-inch screen and is powered by a 1.5Ghz processor (the same as that used on the Flyer) with 768MB RAM. Storage is either 16Gb or 32GB.

The design is typical HTC Android, with touch-sensitive Home, Menu, Back and Search buttons underneath, although unusually for HTC the phone is white. Like the HTC Sensation, the HTC logo is at the top. It looks very similar to the recently announced HTC Titan, which shares the same screen size, check out our HTC Titan hands-on shots here.

Interestingly it’s one of the first phones to include the fruits of HTC’s partnership with Beats Audio, the Dr Dre owned company behind the recently launched Beats mixr DJ headphones. HTC could be pitching this as a music phone and it will be really interesting to hear the difference it makes.

What do you think of the HTC Runnymede – do you want an Android phone with a 4.7-inch screen? Or are you a Windows Phone fan, waiting for the HTC Titan, let us know @recombu on Twitter or on Facebook.
