HTC’s Wildfire S is now available for pre-order from Carphone Warehouse- though there’s no date just yet as to when we’ll be able to get our hands on it.
The mid-range Wildfire S will be free on tariffs costing from £13.50, and this bargain rate will be with Three Mobile, though it’s currently not available for pre-order. It’s also priced at £349.95 on pay-as-you-go.
Currently, only Orange has their network offers available on the Carphone Warehouse site, though we’ve already had some hands-on time with a Vodafone model, which will arrive in exclusive silver and purple paint jobs.
Orange tariffs start from £20 per month for 24 months, which gets you 200 minutes of talk-time and unlimited texts.
Three will also be offering the Wildfire S on their tariff, while T-Mobile has also previously said they will be offering the middle-weight smartphone.
The Wildfire S has a 3.2-inch touchscreen. and will be running the very latest version of Android, Gingerbread (2.3). Although there’s no front-facing camera, there is a 5-megapixel camera with flash on the back.
The Wildfire S will join the range of other HTC phone ‘sequels’ with the S moniker, alongside the Desire S and Incredible S, with redesigned bodies and a spec boost- the Wildfire S now has a sharper 320×480 display.
Being one of the latest HTC phones, it will also have HTC Sense installed, speeding up the time it takes to customise your phone, and offering all sorts of clever features, like flipping over your phone while it rings to silence it.
