HTC’s Desire S spotted at Amazon: £419.99 SIM-free, coming in April

Just barely announced earlier this week, HTC’s latest Desire model, the S, has been spotted, SIM-free at Amazon UK

Expect to pay £419.99 for the phone, penned by Amazon for a release date of April 18th 2011. The HTC Desire S launched at MWC 2011 earlier this week has been priced and dated by retailer Amazon UK.

No tariff specifics yet from networks promising to offer the Desire S, including Orange, T-Mobile, Three, and Vodafone, but we’re hoping that we’ll be able to get it on those twelve-month contracts said to be coming in the near-future.

HTC’s latest Desire model promises to have the latest version of Google’s Android, a classier aluminium unibody frame, a front-facing camera to make use of those video-calling features, and some other specification retweaks.

Check our own comparison with the rest of the Desire family here, and our exclusive hands-on pictures from this week’s Mobile World Congress.
