Not content with releasing its iOS 4.1 update tonight, Apple has also released an update for its iMovie app – it’s now at Version 1.1.
One important new feature is compatibility with the fourth-generation iPod touch, which is just going on sale. That means when the devices start arriving on people’s doorsteps, iMovie will be available to download from the start.
There are some other new features which sound quite technical, but which will be welcomed by iMovie users. You can now split video clips, and scrub to preview clips in the Video Browser. The Photos Browser has been tweaked, and music now automatically loops if your video lasts longer than the tune you’ve chosen to soundtrack it.
Finally, there’s an in-app tips page to explain the major features of iMovie – something that will ease the learning curve for the application.
