Carphone Warehouse has just announced that it’ll be exclusively selling the INQ Cloud Touch from the 6th of April onwards.
The Facebook-tastic Android phone will be available for £20 on selected contracts, £199.95 on pay-as-you-go or £299.95 unlocked and SIM-free. Like HTC’s ChaCha and Salsa phones, the INQ Cloud Touch has various Facebook features heavily integrated within the phone itself.
It comes stuffed with quick links to things like Facebook Chat, your Facebook Messages inbox, your Wall and Notifications.
We’ve already been treated to a sneak preview of the phone itself, courtesy of the guys behind SwiftKey (which also comes pre-loaded onto the INQ Cloud Touch) and can say it’s got one of the nicest custom UI’s this side of HTC Sense.
As well as having heavy Facebook integration, things like the phone’s settings menu are laid out in a colourful easy to access format. It certainly makes a change from vanilla Android-with-bits-on that we’re used to seeing on most custom UI jobs.
£20 on a 24 month plan on Three gets you 300 minutes, 5000 texts and 500MB of data.
The cheapest Vodafone deal with data included (which you’ll want, seeing as its a Facebook phone) is a £30 24 month plan and gets you 900 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data.
Carphone Warehouse also said that it’ll be exclusively selling the INQ Cloud Q in June this year.
Update: When we originally posted this article, we couldn’t view the Coming Soon page for the INQ Cloud Touch on the Carphone Warehouse site. We’ve since been able to view the page, and have updated the main body of the text with additional tariff information.
