iPad data plans: New Three deals compared to Orange, O2 and Vodafone

Three has just announced its data plans for the iPad with Wi-Fi and 3G and it looks like it may offer the best data deals of all the UK networks at launch.

Apple announced Orange, O2 and Vodafone’s plans earlier this month, complete with daily, weekly and monthly rates. Three isn’t offering a data-per-day or per-week rate, but its monthly rates are really quite competitive. For just £15 you can get 10GB of data – compare that to O2 which is offering 3GB for £15, Orange which will be charging £25 for 10GB and Vodafone which is offering just 5GB for £25. Three is looking like the best value there, for sure.

It also wins the value war on the 1GB per month plan – Three offers the smaller data amount for £7.50, while O2 will charge you £10 for the pleasure. Orange has a 1GB deal but only for a week at a time, charged at £7.50 per week. Remind yourself of the full deals from Orange, O2 and Vodafone here.

Three’s iPad deals will be available from May 28th (iPad day!) and neither of the plans requires a fixed term contract. Of course, you will have to shell out for the wonder-slab to begin with – 3G models will start at £529
