iPhone 6 specs leaked ahead of launch

iPhone 6 specs have leaked just hours before Apple confirms the launch details of its new handset at an event in the United States (allegedly).

According to China Mobile, a Chinese state-owned telecommunication company, the iPhone 6 is longer, wider, but has the same thickness as the current iPhone 5S. It will measure 138mm high by 67mm wide by 7mm thick, while the 5S measures 123.8mm by 58.7mm by 7mm.

Are these the iPhone 6 specs?

Info on China Mobile’s website also reveals the iPhone 6 will have a 4.7-inch screen that pushes 1,134 by 750 pixels, with a super-tough sapphire glass coating. The handset will also allegedly be dust and water resistant.

The site claims the iPhone 6 will be released on September 19, although it’s not clear about whether this is expected to be a global launch date or one specific to China.

Truth? Nonsense? We’ll know for sure in a matter of hours as Apple counts down to to the launch event. Stick around on Recombu.com/mobile for the latest iPhone 6 news and features.
