This speaker is meant to appeal to your hipster side, with its gramophone stylings and awesome 12db of sound added to your twangy folky tunes with nary an extra drop of battery juice spilled. Nice idea, but it just looks like some kind of clinical hearing aid to me – I wouldn’t be surprised to see it in a GP’s surgery or an advert for Age Concern.
If you want to make your iPhone look like it belongs to your gran then go right ahead and drop your £20 on it, but don’t come crying to us when the woman at the post office thinks you’re there for your pension not your postage. [BookOfJoe via Wired via Gizmodo]
