iWatch2 concept: The Apple iPhone wristwatch

After seeing the very real Motorola MOTOACTV and the I’m Watch around and at CES, it was only a matter of time before we clapped eyes on an iConcept equivalent.

The work of Antonio De Rosa, the same chap who gave us the iPhone SJ concept, the iWatch2 concept is conceived as a kind of “personal companion for your iPhone or iPad, on your wrist.”

So this would act as a second screen, pinging you notifications of Facebook updates, texts and the like and allowing you to control your iPhone or iPad’s settings. Being able to turn on the Wi-Fi hotspot function of your iPhone from your wrist would be pretty cool.

There’s also a front-facing camera, so you’d be able to indulge your Dick Tracy Facetime fantasies using this. The full list of ‘specs’ are:

  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
  • Integrated RSS Reader
  • 32GB
  • Weather forecast system
  • Possibility to connect with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to iPhone / iPad
  • LCD projector to show everywhere pictures by your iPhone / iPad
  • Front-facing camera

All good stuff, though we’re not too sure about squinting at RSS feeds on a watch-sized screen.

Like the iPhone SJ, the concept shots are beautifully rendered; Antonio’s attention to detail and love of the Apple brand are both immediately apparent. There’s more images of the iWatch2 over on his site, so if you like what you’ve seen here, click on the source link below.
