Jenson and Lewis: iPhone users. Lewis not big on the apps.

Vodafone kindly invited us out to Berlin for the official unveiling of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-27.

During a (very) brief Q&A, drivers Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton revealed that they use iPhone 4s, and in Hamilton’s case, an iPhone 4 and a Blackberry Torch.

Jenson Button admitted that he had to get Vodafone to sort out his micro SIM out, and that it’d “been in the cupboard for a while.”

When we asked about his favourite apps, Button dutifully recommend the F1 app, and various triathlon/fitness apps.

Team-mate Lewis Hamilton said he uses both an iPhone 4 and a Blackberry Torch, presumably not at the same time.

He said he uses one for business and one for his private life. He wouldn’t say when asked which one he used for which; naturally you’d assume the Torch was for business and the iPhone 4 for pleasure.

More shockingly, Hamilton revealed that he hasn’t downloaded any apps, saying “I’m not really into that stuff.”

We guess that the guys have more important things to do than trying to three-star each Angry Birds level, so we’ll let them off. We’d always had Hamilton down as a Cut the Rope guy for some reason.
