We’re getting into the Christmas spirit here at Recombu (well, everyone else is, I’ve been counting down to the big day for weeks now), and what better way to embrace the festive feeling than with a good old fashioned carol singalong?
This particular medley is not that old-fashioned, however, given that it’s performed entirely on iPads and iPhones by the North Point Community Church iBand.
Taking in all manner of Christmas classics, the performers use various melody-making apps from jingle bells to keyboards via a really quite painful voice auto-tuner.
Sure, it’s a cheese-fest and sounds a lot like elevator music, but let’s not get all Grinch-like about it. Altogether now: “Rockin’ around the Christmas tree, have a happy holidaaaay…”
