Klipsch S4A: first dedicated earphones for Android smartphones

Klipsch has introduced the first pair of earphones designed especially to be used with an Android smartphone or tablet: the Klipsch S4A

Of course, as long as your Android smartphone has a 3.5mm jack you can use any pair of headphones with them, however you can’t access extra features.

However, when used with the free Klipsch Control App, the switch incorporated into the earbuds cable becomes a remote control headset. Program it via the app, so commands: Single Click, Double Click, Triple Click and Long Press, could become: Play/Pause, Next Track, Previous Track, Voice Search, Voice Command and Redial.

The app also lets you determine the minimum and maximum volume for music and calls.

Incorporating the same technology as the Klipsch S4 and S4i earbuds, the headphones incorporate a Dynamic Moving Coil Micro Speaker and with 8.5mm drivers. The tips include Klipsch’s patented oval ear tips, designed to fit the natural shape of your ear, as well as blocking out external noise.

We’re looking forward to trying out the Klipsch S4A, we’ve tried the S4 headphones previously and been impressed, it’s good to see audio manufacturers like Klipsh and Philips (with its speaker docks) are finally creating products for Android users.

Available now for around £89.99, find out more from Klipsch.
