Lenovo launches Yoga Tablet 2 and 2 Pro with integrated projector

Alongside a new convertible Yoga laptop, Lenovo just unveiled two new Windows/Android tablets, including one with a built in projector.

The latest members to what the company calls its multimode range; the Yoga Tablet 2 and Tablet 2 Pro are hoping to wow customer using many of the same tropes of the original Yoga tablet proposition, but bigger, better and with a greater focus on entertainment.

Joined via satellite by the company’s poster boy Ashton Kutcher, we met a range of tablet combinations that Lenovo thinks will win users over in time for Christmas. The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 will be made available in two flavours; toting an 8-inch or a 10-inch Full HD IPS LCD panel, but more interestingly can be picked up running Android 4.4 KitKat or Windows 8.1. Those interested in the larger 10-inch model will also receive a Bluetooth keyboard too.

The second part of the puzzle comes in the form of the beefier Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro. Whilst you can expect the same build of skinned Android, powered by the same quad-core Intel chip, the Pro ups the ante with a larger 13-inch Quad HD display and the aforementioned integrated projector.

Should you want to throw you pictures, documents or movies onto the big screen, the projector, located at the end of the hinge design can throw a 50-inch image up on the wall.
