LG announces the Optimus 7, its first Windows Phone 7 phone

LG has just announced its UK debut Windows Phone 7 phone, the LG Optimus 7 on its official blog.

This slick looking device looks set to be a winner if its specs are anything to go by. The LG Optimus 7 boasts a 3.8-inch capacitive touchscreen, 16GB of internal memory and a 5-megapixel camera which can record HD Video at 720p.

As was rumoured in last weeks’ leak, the Optimus 7’s camera also features a 360 panoramic shot mode which stitches pictures together.

Other interesting features include Voice-to-Text transcribing for Facebook and Twitter updates and a built-in augmented reality app. Of course until we get some hands on time with the Optimus 7 and get a feel for the new Windows Phone OS there’s no telling how it’ll handle.

No price or release date for the LG Optimus 7 have been announced yet but we contacted LG about this and we’re waiting to hear back.

Update: we’ve just noticed that since publishing LG has taken the original blog post down.
