One of the problems with naming one of your phones after a certain colour means that you can’t roll out colour variants of it.
Unless you happen to be LG and you don’t give a damn about any of that; you take one of your existing smartphones – in this case, the LG Optimus Black – and you release a white version of it. Naturally, you then re-name it the LG Optimus White.
Available to pre-order now from Phones 4U, the LG Optimus White can be snapped up on a number of contracts from O2, Orange and Vodafone.
The specs for this are exactly the same as the Optimus Black – 1-inch LCD Nova touchscreen, Android 2.2 Froyo, 5-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel front camera.
The only difference is that it’s sporting a dazzling white jacket instead of the suave black of the, er, LG Optimus Black.
With only a front-facing pic, there’s no telling if this is an all-white deal or if it’s half-n-half like the Guinness-tastic Vodafone-exclusive Nexus S White.
Still if it was white on the front and black on the back they’d have to call it the Black White, right?
