LG has released more details about the LG Optimus G, it’s new quad core flagship smartphone and the first smartphone ever to offer a Qualcomm made quad-core CPU capable of supporting LTE.
A US launch is now slated for November and a European debut around the same time, but until this point we’ve only seen and heard about the new Snapdragon S4 quad-core endowed handset. Now, thanks to GSMArena, we can see what its camera can really do.
Although the S4 quad-core is the cherry on top of this new flagship LG cake, the camera is also a notable inclusion as the Optimus G features a 13-megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video recording at 30 frames per second, HDR still photography and features a specially made 5-element lens unit.
As you can see the samples the camera produces show impressive shots in natural light with a decent level of noise suppression, contrast and colour reproduction. We can’t wait to test it out for ourselves and pit it against some other camera phone kings..
There’s no news on pricing yet, but we’ll bring you more news when we get it.
