The LG Town C300 is a low-cost phone aimed at those who want to keep up to date with Facebook and Twitter on-the-go. There’s a 2.4-inch landscape screen and a full Qwerty keypad, which will hopefully bring an element of familiarity with each social network’s desktop equivalent. LG’s own Social Networking Service (SNS) widgets come pre-installed on the Town C300; these push status updates and tweets directly to the homescreen.
Other features of the LG Town C300 include a 2-megapixel camera, FM radio and a music player. A 3.5mm audio jack is included so you can listen to the radio and your playlists on your own headphones. It doesn’t look like the Town C300 comes with 3G or Wi-Fi so web browsing may be patchy and slow. But for £70 on pay as you go, it doesn’t sound like too bad a deal.
