Live Rugby Six Nations scores a try on iOS


 

Just in time for the start of rugby’s RBS Six Nations, Puntofisso has released an app to accompany the tournament that promises to be better then watching the games on TV. Fans can follow the games in real-time via the app with both text and graphical updates. These graphical features visualise all the kicks, rucks, try, conversion, line-out, pass, breaks and scrums on the pitch.

Powered via data from Opta Sports, the app also includes team profiles and player bios, stats on personal achievements and historical data from last years Six Nations tournament. Fans can share content direct to their social networks, including Facebook and Twitter, instantly creating their own analysis of the match.

I can literally track every tackle, pass, try, and scrum on the pitch, and compare success rates on the fly”.

The app is available now on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad with iOS 4.3 or later, priced at 69p.
