London Eye capsules to get Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Visitors to the EDF Energy London Eye will soon be able to enhance their experience using the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. In what is billed as the first new technical addition to its capsules in 11 years. Each capsule will be equipped with an installation constructed from Galaxy Tab 10.1’s, displaying bespoke content including interactive guides of the surrounding area created by LMC design and Henry Stuart Photography.

A customer simply touches any of the 44 landmarks to find extra information, along with 24-hour time lapse photography and 360-degree day and night views, including a birds-eye view and look inside

The introduction of the Android tablets to the EDF Energy London Eye comes after market research of 5000 visitors showed that visitors wanted more information about landmarks visible from the capsules.

David Sharpe from the Merlin Entertainments Group commented: “2012 is going to be a year of celebration throughout London and the UK. We wanted to kick off the year by presenting both our new and loyal guests with a state-of-the-art and exciting experience on the EDF Energy London Eye.”
