Los Angeles Police in massive haul of fake Apple gear.

Los Angeles police have seized more than $10 million in counterfeit gear. The haul included large numbers of fake iPhones and iPods from a warehouse.

Los Angeles Port Police begun the theft case two months ago which ended in them seizing ultra high quality fakes. “This was a well funded operation, and the counterfeits looked very authentic,” said Ron Boyd, chief of the L.A. Port Police told the Los Angeles Times.

The electronics were designed to take advantage of post CES buzz over Apple products.

The Port Police also discovered other counterfeit products totaling $1.4 in stolen electronics and bank account receipts that suggest more than $7 million in profits.
