The winners have been announced for the 9th Meffys Awards, which celebrate the best of mobile content and commerce, encompassing the years best apps.
The Meffys Awards are now in their ninth year and the 2012 awards received more entries than ever from 35 countries. 13 awards were up for grabs, including new categories Publisher on Mobile, Life Tools App and Brand on Mobile.

The diversity and quality of this year’s entrants also reflect the changing nature of the mobile content and commerce ecosystem with banks, brands, developers, publishers and exciting new start-ups taking centre stage alongside established mobile players. “
Paddy Cullivan and his band, the Camembert Quartet hosted the awards, which took place at a gala dinner in London.
