More HTC Runnymede 2 details: Beats cans, surround sound and slow-mo video capture

HTC’s revealed its hand and it’s two new Windows Phone handsets – both running the Mango upgrade.

If you were wowed by the masculine looks and the 4.7-inch screen sported by the HTC Titan, you may be interested in some more news of a phone codenamed Runnymede 2.

Whilst rumours of a 4.7-inch Android phone running under the guise of Runnymede were doing the rounds yesterday, a spec sheet has now appeared at Android Guys adding some gristle to the rumour bones of a second Beats Audio-packing Android.

That expansive 4.7-inch screen may not wow with a supposed 480×800 resolution, but it will be using the same 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor found in HTC’s Flyer. According to the leak, it’s all crammed into a frame under 10mm thick. So far, so HTC Titan.

But changes for this Android offering include an expansive 768MB of RAM and two choices of built-in storage; 16GB or 32GB. Beats headphones will be included, and won’t be run-of-the-mill in-ear buds, but a pair of Beats Solo cans.

The main camera can take 8-megapixel stills, and will be capable of recording 720p video. This is paired with dual flash and a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front.

Some interesting camera features have been included in the latest leak; we’re interested in seeing how the slow-motion playback will work; are we talking more frames per second capture, or simply stuttered playback? According to the spec-sheet, video-capture will also take in surround-sound audio.
