Motorola’s affordable alternative to the Moto X may cost just £135

The Moto X never made it to the UK, but its rumoured low-cost alternative – the Moto G – might be released here shortly. GSMArena has received a purported flyer from a tipster that lists the specs for the Moto G, as well as the price.

Phones 4u will apparently be selling the handset when it makes its debut. Specs will include a 4.5-inch 720p display, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2Ghz (most likely the Snapdragon 200), 8GB of internal storage, and a 5-megapixel camera. The price is the real news, though: according to the tipster, the unlocked phone will cost just £135.

The Moto G could turn out to be the entry-level phone to buy if the above turns out to be true. There’s no word on when the handset is due to launch, but we’d imagine that Motorola is pushing for a launch during the run-up to Christmas.

Update: Engadget says that a teaser site for the Moto G has gone live, showing a possible November 13th launch date.
