The Motororola DEFY mini is here. Small, tough and tidy, this little smartphone should handle the strains of daily life and the odd excursion into the peaks of Pembrokeshire or the sands of the Serengeti for a dunk, drop or drenching in the rain. Without the right sort of environment, we settle for our trusty glass table as we unbox the DEFY mini for your viewing pleasure.
Loaded with humble specs including a 600MHz processor and a 3.2-inch screen, the DEFY mini is less about what it can do and more about what it can’t – which by the way is break easily. Other specs include a full-sized SIM card slot, a micro SD card slot and an ample 1650 mAh battery.
Camera-wise, the Motorola DEFY mini has definitely gotten the short straw with a 3-megapixel snapper with no auto-focus. Still, Motorola try to make the experience as tailored as possible as far as the UI is concerned with a thumb friendly interface and a host of bespoke widgets. That said, off the cuff, we don’t see why you’d go for this over, say a Sony Ericsson Xperia Active
We’ll be bringing you our full review next week but in the meantime, check out our unboxing video below and drop us a comment if you want us to test anything out in particular.
