Motorola Dext and Motoblur hands-on

Days after Motorola announced the Dext in America, it decided to pop along to the UK and do the same here, albeit in a far less extravagant way. After an awkward start which involved a few bad jokes and a lot of script reading, we managed to get some hands-on time with the Dext and we’re glad to report that we like it a lot.
Orange will start selling the Dext in October and it will be available on contracts starting at £35 per month. The deal will include unlimited Internet browsing and texts and 900 minutes of talk time. Click on the next page for more info, pictures and a hands-on video.

The Motorola Dext feels solid and is about the same size as the T-Mobile G1.

One of our favourite features is the Dext’s Qwerty keyboard that is really easy to type on.

There it is, a 3.5mm headphone jack. No adapters, no 2.5mm headphones, just your standard headphones plugged straight in.

A minimalist battery cover with the Orange logo at the top just in case you forget which network you’re on.

Tom Satchwell, Motorola director of international marketing, gave us a tour of the Motorola Dext and Motoblur.
