Moto X Style launches with mega-screen and TurboPower

Motorola’s new Moto X Style flagship phone boasts super-fast charging and a rival-smashing 21-megapixel camera, and could be one of the best mobile media machines of 2015.

The new Moto X Style packs a mighty 5.7-inch screen with Quad HD resolution that fills 76% of the front panel, yet still leaves room for dual stero speakers pointed right at your face. The silicone back is specially constructed to provide good grip and also prevent staining, with lots of different colours on offer – or you can upgrade to a more premium finish such as leather, machine metal or wood in Moto Maker.

Motorola also bigged up the new Moto X Style’s ‘TurboPower’, which makes the Moto X Style the world’s fastest-charging phone. Compared with the Samsung Galaxy S6, it’s over 50% faster – so claims Motorola.

And the Moto X Style boasts a top-quality new 21-megapixel f/2.0 camera, touted by professional photographer testers as better than the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus’ snapper. Example shots shown off at the Moto X Style launch certainly looked impressive, with sharp results that look good even in low light.

Performance-wise, the Moto X Style is run by a Snapdragon 808 processor (also found on the LG G4), backed by 3GB of RAM, which should make for a smooth experience no matter what you’re up to. There’s a choice of 16/32/64GB of storage space and all three models come with a microSD slot for expansion.

The new Moto X Style will apparently cost $200-300 less than rivals, so we’re expecting a UK price of around £349 when it hits stores in September.
