As flagship smartphones go, you can’t really beat the Motorola RAZR MAXX on battery life right now. Sure it’s a little less svelte than its RAZR brother, but you can’t argue with battery capacity that approaches tablet territory and battery life that trumps pretty much any other smartphone out there. Now Motorola fans in India will soon be able to get their hands on this phone.
For those power users, who don’t want to rely on standing by the power point, the Motorola RAZR MAXX is now winging its way to the Indian market, currently available for pre-order from infibeam.com. The site, which quotes availability from June 24th is offering the MAXX for ₹31,999 (around £370) and state shipping will take up to a couple of days.
The Motorola RAZR MAXX is a variant of Motorola’s current flagship handset the Motorola RAZR. Originally launching in the US under the ‘DROID’ sub-brand, the RAZR MAXX has progressively spread its availability eastwards. Aside from a 1GHz dual core processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread (awaiting an update to Android 4.0) and an 8-megapixel camera, the RAZR gets its ‘MAXX’ suffix from a significantly uprated battery. The 3300mAh cell offers up to 607 hours of standby time, compared to the standard RAZR’s 304 hours on its 1780mAh power pack. If your usage habits empty your average smartphone, the MAXX might be a purchase worth making.
