Talk about setting up camp inside the enemy’s walls; Microsoft has released its official Xbox Live iOS app.
Released alongside the upgraded Xbox dashboard, this is very similar to the app that comes baked in to the Windows Phone platform. My Xbox Live allows you to access and compare your achievements on the go and play around with your 3D avatar; check out our Princess Leia drag king.
You can review and edit your bio on the from your iPhone, manage friend lists and message people on the go.
This isn’t anywhere near as sweet as the Xbox Companion Windows Phone app, but its free; we’re not complaining. Xbox owners with iPhones will no doubt enjoy the extra lease of life that this app brings. My Xbox Live can be downloaded from iTunes now. It works beautifully on our iPhone 4, easily on par with it’s Windows Phone equivalent. Now, how about an Android version Microsoft?
