A new ‘champagne’ version of Motorola’s Moto 360 smartwatch looks truly gorgeous, along with a sleek new ‘cognac’ wrist strap, although they haven’t gone official yet…
We’re not sure that Lenovo will be entirely thrilled with Amazon at the moment, after the online retailer managed to leak two new designs of the Moto 360 smartwatch, just hours after the Chinese multinational computer technology company finalised its purchase of Motorola from Google.
The as-yet-unannounced designs of the Moto 360 were listed on Amazon and withdrawn shortly thereafter, but not before eagle-eyed shoppers managed to spot the devices online and grab both the images and price-point details.
It appears that Motorola will be offering a device with a new cognac-coloured leather strap, which will retail for $249(USD), in line with the other leather models on sale, and a metal bracelet in a champagne colour, available in either 18mm or 23mm width, both priced at $299(USD), the same as the current metal offerings.
The Moto 360 was originally announced back in March and finally hit the shops in September, receiving some impressive reviews in the process. The device is considered the flagship wearable for Android Wear, Google’s Android operating system for wearable devices, and these new models add to the seemingly equal billing that style and tech have been given, with Motorola keen to make the devices practical on a day-to-day level.
The listings are no longer live on the site and it’s unclear when they’ll be available again, but we imagine that there will be an announcement from Motorola fairly soon. Amazon has so far declined to comment, but we imagine there’s a site admin somewhere who’s kicking themselves pretty hard right now!
