Google’s next-gen Nexus phone hits the bar for some shots

Is there a new Nexus phone coming? Yes. Do we have a good idea of what it looks like? Yup. Want another good look? Here you go:

The latest pictures – and short videos – come from 9to5Google. The next-gen Nexus phone was apparently spotted in a bar (sound familiar?), but there’s really not much that can be discerned from the pictures. The bezel looks relatively small – just like the LG G2, which the phone may be based on – but there doesn’t appear to be any obvious visual changes to Android.

Rumoured specs for Google’s next phone iteration include a 5-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, pentaband HSPA+ and LTE support, and the latest version of Android, KitKat 4.4.

Given that stock levels of the Nexus 4 are running low – and that it’s been almost a year since the phone was announced – we’d expect to see the next-gen Nexus make an official appearance in the coming weeks.
