Official specs for the next iPad have been confirmed and here they are in a nutshell:
The next iPad will be sporting the A5x chip as we suspected based on the leaked images seen floating around the web. Boasting quad-core graphics, there has been no confirmation that the chipset itself is quad-core, we’ll confirm this as we hear more.
The camera on the iPad 3 is a 5-megapixel unit, slightly lower than the 8-megapixel unit we were hoping for however it does promise backside illumination and records video in Full HD (1080P). The screen is as predicted the jewel in the next iPad’s crown with 2048×1536 pixeld (264 ppi).
Despite the new screen resolution and the inclusion of LTE on the US models, battery life is a respectable 10 hours with 9 hours when using LTE. Priced form $499 for the 16GB version, $599 for the 32GB version and 699 for the 64GB version, LTE variants work out at about $130 more per unit.
