It’s been a while since we first clapped eyes on the Nokia Lumia 710 way back when at Nokia World 2011, but it’s finally available to buy from today onwards.
Unassuming in design and specifications, the Nokia Lumia 710 is a great phone; responsive screen, good battery life and some nice custom apps that app something new and different to the Windows Phone OS. We loved it as much as the more powerful Nokia Lumia 800 in our review, which you should definitely read if you’ve not done so already.
If you’re sold on the Nokia Lumia 710 you’ll probably want to know where you can pick one up and how much it’ll cost. Which is why we’ve put this piece together, saving you the trouble of shopping around yourself.
O2 might not be giving the Nokia Lumia 710 away on all of its price plans, but it’s easy to add more data to contracts if you want to, so you’ve got some flexibility here.
For example, paying £59.99 up front for the Nokia Lumia 710 means you can have it away with 100 minutes, 500 texts and 500MB of data for £27 a month on a 18 month plan. Bulking this up top a full 1GB costs £31 a month (£4 more) if you want more net use.
If you want more talk time, you can pay £37 a month, get 300 minutes and unlimited texts and 500MB thrown in. Again, if you want more you can pay £41 a month to get 1GB of usage.
If you want to take out a longer 24 contract then prices fall. £21.50 a month gets you 200 minutes plus 250 minutes of calls to O2 numbers, unlimited messages and 500MB of data. The Lumia 710 is free and again, you can pay £4 more a month to get the same deal but wirth 1GB of internets.
For those who want a bit more chatting time on their Nokia Lumia 710 on O2, you can pay £32 a month for a 24 month plan that’ll get you 600 minutes (plus 250 minutes of O2 calls), unlimited texts and 500MB of data with the option to upgrade to 1GB for £4 more a month.
On O2 Pay & Go you can snap the Nokia Lumia 710 up for £199.99. [link]
The Nokia Lumia 710 can also be snapped up on Orange’s menagerie of animal tariffs.
The cheapest price plan is the Dolphin 26 which gives you 400 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB of internet use across 24 months, plus two Orange Swapables.
Those looking for a plan with a bit more bite, data-wise can sign up for the Panther 36 plan, which gives you 600 minutes, unlimited texts and a solid 1GB of data. Again, this is a 24 month deal that costs £36 a month.
If you want to get a Nokia Lumia 710 on an 18 month plan there’s a Panther 31 deal which gives you 200 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data and two Orange Swapables.
Should you want an 18 month plan with at least 1GB of data then the cheapest deal going right now is the Panther 41 plan, which gives you 600 minutes, unlimited texts and your 1GB of internet access plus two Orange Swapables to go. [link]
Three is only selling the Nokia Lumia 710 on 24 month plans but those long-term comittments will see you getting some generous data allowances – 1GB or unlimited.
The Text 500 plan costs £22 a month, gives you 500 messages, 5000 texts and 1GB of data and the Nokia Lumia 710 itself is free.
For those who think they’ll be streaming constanlt from Mix Radio, Spotify and checking their whereabouts on Nokia Maps, there’s the Text 500 with Three’s All You Can Eat data, which costs you £25 a month. You get the same 500 messages and 5000 texts with this bad boy.
If you want to get the Nokia Lumia 710 on The One Plan – 2000 minutes, 5000 texts, unlimited data – you can, for £29 a month.
For those looking to buy one on Three Pay As You Go, the Nokia Lumia 710 will set you back £199.99.
In stock now, earliest deliveries are expected to arrive on Friday. [link]
The cheapest Nokia Lumia 710 deal going is a £26 18 month plan which gives you 100 minutes, 500 messages but a rather weak 250MB of data. 1GB of BT Openzone Wi-Fi access comes bundled, but we think you’re going to want at least 500MB all the same.
To whit, £31 a month bumps this up to 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data.
The 24 month plans sadly don’t offer you any more data, with both of the same deals described above going for a little less, £20.50 a month and £26 a month respectively.
It’s perhaps worth bearing in mind that whichever plan you take, you should be in line to enjoy three months of unlimited data as part of the Vodafone Data Test Drive if you’re a new or upgrading customer.
The Nokia Lumia 710 has not yet appeared on 12-month price plans, SIM-only contracts or on Vodafone Pay As You Talk. [link]
