Nokia Lumia 710 coming January 6th?

The Nokia Lumia 710 could be set for an early January launch, according to a UK mobile phone retailer.

Digital Phone has the phone pegged for a December 6th launch and is inviting customers to enter details for availability information.

The Nokia Lumia 710 will be the company’s second Windows Phone handset to arrive in the UK following the Lumia 800. What sets the Lumia 710 apart from its sibling and the rest of the Windows phone pack is that it’s a more ‘affordable’ handset, with a 270 euro price, although there’s no news on UK pricing yet.

Powered by a 1.4Ghz processor with 512MB RAM, it has a 3.7-inch 800×480 screen, 8GB storage and a 5-megapixel camera. We had some hands-on time with the Lumia 710 Nokia World and were really impressed, yes the build is a little plastiky, but that’s really the only compromise.

There’s been no news yet about which networks will be selling the Lumia 710 or on the official launch date, we’ve contacted Nokia this morning who said: “As previously stated, the planned launch timings for the highly anticipated Lumia 710 in the UK remains as Q1 2012”

So nothing solid yet. We’ll bring you more news when we get it, but let us know below if you are interested in the Lumia 710 or if you’ve got a Lumia 800 what you think of it.
