Nokia’s Lumia 730 smartphone, a selfie phone with a 5-megapixel front-facing lens, has leaked online ahead of its big launch at IFA 2014 next month.
Thanks to the online grapevine, we already know that Nokia is readying two new phones for launch at IFA 2014 next month, catchily nicknamed ‘Superman’ and ‘Tesla’. The Superman phone, which is said to pack a sharp 5-megapixel selfie camera, has just leaked online in these up-close-and-personal shots, and we now know that it’ll be launched as the Nokia Lumia 730.
We haven’t seen a Lumia 7xx from Nokia in around a year and a half, when the mid-range Lumia 720 hit UK stores. We’re expecting the Lumia 730 to emerge with a similarly affordable price tag, plus pared-down specs to match. And with that 5-meg selfie cam, the Lumia 730 will presumably be aimed at young, outgoing users.
One of the Lumia 720’s best feature was its sleek and slender unibody design, which we’ll hopefully see translated to the Lumia 730. It’s hard to tell from these photos, but it certainly looks quite thin – certainly a lot more so than the chunky retro design of the Lumia 630 and Lumia 635. Of course, those budget-priced phones packed some strong features for the relatively low cost, so we wonder how many people will want to spend extra on the 730, just to get a slimmer frame and better selfie cam.
We’ll bring you the full scoop on the Lumia 730 when it’s launched at the beginning of next month.
