Launched earlier in the year on AT&T, the Nokia Lumia 900 has been suggested to be doing well for the Finnish manufacturer and American carrier, and now it’s coming here to our fair shores. Following on from the Lumia 800, our favourite phone of the moment in terms of pure design, the Nokia Lumia 900 packs on the pounds with an additional 18 grams and 4.3-inch display as well as a larger 1830 mAh battery while still looking similar stylistically. Running with Windows Phone 7.5, a 1.4GHz processor along with an 8-megapixel camera, the Nokia Lumia 900 should hit a balance of form, function and cost.
Landing here in the UK on May the 14th, we’ve been lucky enough to get one of these handsome handsets in the office early, and in cyan no less for a quick unboxing before we whisk it away for a long weekend in a bid to get better acquainted. The larger screen still packs its WVGA resolution, so isn’t quite as sharp as the Nokia Lumia 900, however it does have Nokia’s Clear Black technology atop its AMOLED layer for better outdoor viewability.
Looking good and expected to offer competitive pricing if the US Lumia 900 is anything to go by, you’ll be able to pick one up in just over a week. In the meantime, enjoy our unboxing video and if you’ve got any questions or thoughts, just fire them our way in the comments section below.
