The Nokia N9 has no concrete date just yet on arrival, in fact, last month the UK was conspicuously absent from the drop-down list of countries the N9 was set to be available.
Several other countries were also missing; including Italy, but the Nokia N9 has now been spotted on its official Italian official site.
That’s prettty official-looking, though Nokia are still not revealing when (and where) their premier MeeGo smarphone will get a release. We hope this means we’ll be able to get our hands on one in the UK.
Whether we get a MeeGo, or Windows Phone 7, flavoured N9, we were impressed with our brief hands-on. Set to arrive in both 16 and 64GB handsets respectively, the 3.9-inch AMOLED screen has a minimal gap between the surface of the phone and its display, making for a very vivid screen, protected with Gorilla Glass. Nokia are also bringing its camera expertise to the N9, with an 8-megapixel sensor coupled with Carl Zeiss optics.
