Not going to Google I/O 2011? Fed up of sitting around waiting for Google’s livestreams? Then have yourself a look at the fully Official™ Google I/O 2011 conference app.
Its got a schedule of when all the keynotes and sessions are due to arrive as well as a bulletin for announcements and real-time tweets/messages of anyone using the #io2011 #googleio hashtags.
Obviously, this app is intended for people who are actually going to be there – there’s detailed maps of the venue’s three floors giving you an at-a-glance reference for where everything is.
If you’re not attending (tickets for I/O 2011 sold out in less than an hour) then this free app is a good way for you to feel like you’re there/torture yourself.
The Google I/O 2011 app works on devices running 2.1 Eclair and above and has been optimised for Android tablets as well.
Google I/O 2011 kicks off tomorrow: the first keynote speech is due to kick off at 9am over in Moscone West, San Francisco. That’s 5pm tomorrow our time FYI.
