Opera Mobile 10.1 beta for Android available now

Want yet another browser for your Android phone? The beta of Opera Mobile 10.1 has just touched down in the Android Market and is free to download now.

The latest Android version of the speedy mobile browser comes with the promised pinch to zoom and load pages pretty darn quick over Wi-Fi and 3G.

It features the same 3×3 Speed Dial grid that we know and love from previous versions and it’s now even easier to add bookmarks to the home screen grid. Simply tapping on one of the empty grey squares brings up your history list and you can simply add links from there.

If you’ve got limited memory you should note that Opera Mobile 10.1 takes up about 22.70MB of space. This shrinks to around 16.25MB if you’ve running Android 2.2 and you move it to the SD card.

We’re waiting for the full version of Opera Mobile to touch down to see whether it’ll take the stock Android browsers place in the spotlight as our favourite browser du jour.
