For a limited time, Orange are introducing one of their internet-savvy Panther plans with around twice the allowances for the money. Just yesterday, the UK carrier unveiled the new plan which aims to offer SIM-only, hassle-free mobile data for less.
On a 12 month long contract, Orange will offer customers, both new and existing, some 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of mobile data for just £10.50 a month. The SIM-only plan typically retails for £20.50 a month, but from 8 a.m. yesterday morning until 10 a.m. tomorrow, this near half-price offer is available to all.
Orange customers already benefit from the ability to share networks with sister carrier T-Mobile, meaning that both collectively form the largest consistent coverage map in the UK. What’s more, following the joint venture between the two companies under the EE brand, Orange as with T-Mo customers also have the option to move up from any of either network’s existing 3G plans to a 4G tariff direct from EE.
To put the new plan into perspective, 500MB equates to approximately 40 YouTube videos, 2000 emails (without attachments) or 1800 web pages, meaning that unless you’re a particularly heavy user, your needs should be catered to between WiFi networks. The equivalent 500MB plan on 4G from EE costs £21 for the same 12-month plan length. To find out more about mobile data usage, why not check out our guide on ‘How Much Data Do You Need?’
