City folk tired of running the rat-race can now use their iPhones to help set up their own garden-based chicken farm. Pickin Chicken is a rather curious iPhone app that takes the term niche to new heights. You’re given a series of sliding options including what you want the chickens for and what size eggs you want.
According to the blurb, it’s designed for eco-conscious urban farmers, backyard chicken enthusiasts, 4-H and FFA members, students, teachers, and full-time farmers.
The app costs £1.79, which might sound expensive but a lot of love and information has gone into this egg-cellent app (sorry, we had to) so we think it’s worth it – if you’re interested in chickens, of course. There are over 250 photos of different breeds of chicken and tonnes of information on each breed.
