Proporta announces new iPad cases: first ever Ted Baker iPad case

Proporta’s wasted no time in announcing its latest line of hard cases and covers for Apple’s new iPad. Available to pre-order now, Proporta’s new line of iPad cases includes a Ted Baker sleeve, a Hard Shell that’s compatible with Apple’s own SmartCovers, a glossy Shine Case, and a multicoloured butterfly case.

The Ted Baker case for the new iPad has a leather-effect exterior and a choice of two patterned interiors; a floral print and a series of ‘Bank of Ted’ £50 notes. As well as giving your new iPad a measure of protection, you can also prop your new iPad up thanks to the segmented grooves set into the inside.

The Hard Shell case as it’s being called is a protective out layer that works in tandem with Apple’s own SmartCover; it protects the rear of your new iPad from scratches and bumps while giving you space to attach your own SmartCover.

Coming in black and white polycarbonate, Proporta’s Hard Shell matches the black and white editions of the new iPad.

The Shine Case from Proporta has a shiny (really?) gloss finish and comes in shiny black and red hues. On the inside there’s screen printed patterns on fabric and pouches for any paper documents you might want to carry around (warranty papers for your new iPad?).

The Shine Case doesn’t make room for the SmartCovers in the same way but there’s separate holes and docks for the charging/data port and headphones.

Last but not least there’s the Cath Kidson-eqsue Butterflies case from Proporta. This psychedelic arthropod meltdown is made from tough polycarbonate like the Hard Shell. As well as keeping the back and sides secure, protecting your new iPad againsy scratches and superficial damage, the Butterflies case has cutaways for the various ports, controls and the new iPad’s camera unit.
